How the India grading scale works
Universities in India typically grade on the 10-Point CGPA Scale. The best possible grade is O (Outstanding), worth 10 points. Your GPA is the credit-weighted average of your grades: each course's grade points are multiplied by its credit hours, summed, and divided by the total credits taken.
| Grade | Points |
|---|---|
| O (Outstanding) | 10 |
| A+ (Excellent) | 9 |
| A (Very Good) | 8 |
| B+ (Good) | 7 |
| B (Above Average) | 6 |
| C (Average) | 5 |
| F (Fail) | 0 |
